Chilina and James

We’re back from our first wedding of the year, the wedding of Chilina and James in Sorrento, Italy!

Clare and I flew out on the Friday and met up with our friends, most of whom had flown out the day before and were already on the sea front. We spent the afternoon having a lazy lunch and several beers, before heading back to the hotel to meet the others and venture out for dinner.

Come Saturday afternoon, we all hopped on the coach and took a short journey up the coast to Piano di Sorrento, where Chilina and James were to be wed! The location offered spectacular views over the bay towards Mount Vesuvius, the active volcano that wiped out Pompei in 79AD – and whilst we waited for the couple to arrive, everyone took the opportunity to take some photos!

After the ceremony, there was a chance for everyone to take some more photos before jumping back on the coach to Sorrento, where we had a drinks reception and dinner with the newly weds!

Clare and I wish Chilina and James many happy years together. It was a really fantastic weekend, with some great friends, and plenty of photo opportunities! Here are some of my favourites from the weekend – there are quite a few..!
