Cornwall

I’ve not posted for a few months – so I thought it was time to get some new photos up!

Clare and I took a few days out this spring and drove down to Marazion, near Penzance in Cornwall where we stayed in the Mount Haven Hotel overlooking St Michaels Mount, which offered fantastic views! We stopped off at the Eden Project on the way down which is pretty cool, lots of things to see in the bio-domes (the tropical one was really hot!).

We spent a couple of days visiting the little fishing towns around Cornwall – Mousehole, Sennen Cove and St Ives where Clare got her pastie stolen by one of the locals (a sea gull, that is…).

We walked over to St Michaels Mount at low tide and just made it back to the main land in time before the tide came in. Others continued to follow us for a good 10-15 minutes, but they were forced to carry their socks and shoes – it made for some entertaining snaps!

On the last day, the weather closed in and showers were sweeping across the bay. I managed to grab the last shot just by chance when the sun caught the mount and a rain shower cast a rainbow in the background. Talk about right place, right time!
