Every year in mid-December my parents hold a Christmas party for all their friends. This year, they very kindly hosted an Engagement Party for Clare and I – with our family and close friends. We had heart shaped balloons, banners, lovely black and white photographs of us both in silver frames dotted around the house – as well as a large framed collage of photos of our time together.
After the food and a very nice speech from my father, we all headed out into the garden to set off some Chinese lanterns. We set off around 20 in total, which was great fun!
Clare and I would like to thank our friends and family for coming, and also my parents for all their hard work with the preparations and making it a very special day for us.
